Future Information Projects

BarServer.com and its products are owned and managed by Future Information Projects Limited (fiprojects). It has extensive experience utilising the latest technology to bring cost effective results. Since 1994 it worked with industry leaders in order to implement solutions to meet with their requirements.

The Company began to explore createing its own products in the late 1990's and visited examined different industries which it felt it could prove a success.

In 2000 it explored a relationship with a licensee who wanted to upgrade its late 1980's POS System. They struck a deal where the Company undertook the responsibility to roll out a third party solution and over the following two years, we supported it and learned from it.

It was at this phase whereby we realised we had experience worth growing, and partnered with industry specialists. We examined existing POS solutions, drew up a list of standard features, and examined the possibility of offering more functionality for the same, or less cost.

Our advantage was born and we created our first beta product in mid 2003. Unlike most current systems, our's are built on a more modern, secure and highly supported operating system called Linux. In addition, its also built using similar technolgies that are found in internet based products. This gave us a cost friendly solution with unlimited growth potential.

It contains advantages from having a combined mix of compatible modern technology based on internet based standards. This gives our customers far more options for expanding their business and does not tie them to a single support provider or hardware platform.

We believe our products and experience in development and support will allow us to continue growing our business into 2010 and beyon.
